The term that refers to cultures prioritizing harmony with one's group over individual goals is indeed collectivist cultures. In collectivist cultures, the needs and goals of the group, such as family, community, or society, take precedence over personal desires or ambitions. This perspective fosters interdependence, cooperation, and a sense of belonging, where individuals often derive their identity from the social groups to which they belong.

Individuals in collectivist cultures may prioritize relationships and group cohesion, sometimes even at the expense of personal achievement. This contrasts with individualistic cultures, where self-reliance and personal success are emphasized, and individuals are encouraged to assert their independence and pursue personal goals. Nationalistic cultures often focus on loyalty to one's nation and may not necessarily reflect the broader social harmony characteristic of collectivism. Universalist cultures aim to promote common values and principles across cultures, but they do not inherently prioritize group harmony in the same manner as collectivist societies.
